Ochils Hut, Crainlarich.
A winter meet initially open to full and associate members.
If you are looking to try something a little different this winter, with a drive less than 5 hours from Manchester then read on!
Nestled in the southern highlands, the Ochils Mountaineering Club hut is an ideal base for exploring. Ben More, Cruach Ardrain and Stob Binnein (to name a few Munros) can be reached on foot from the hut and the Ben Lawers range, Arrochar and the Bridge of Orchy fells are all within a 30 minute drive. There are options for winter climbing on Beinn Udlaidh, Beinn a Dothaidh and Ben Lui as well as the classic Glen Coe routes.
Ochils Mountaineering Club hut, Inverardran Cottage sleeps 18 on alpine style mixed bunks. There are separate male and female toilets, both with a shower and a small dry room.
The cottage has a great open plan kitchen with seating and amazing views. There's also a cosy snug area with stove, perfect for a brew after a big day out in the mountains.
Inverardan Cottage is situated at the east end of Crianlarich (os grid ref 392250) on the north side of the A85. There is parking within the cottage grounds but it's also within easy walking distance of Crianlarich railway station.
The hut has been booked for 3 nights, with a total cost of xxx per person payable by xxx.
